Make the most of every opportunity

Eph 5:15-20
15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. 18 Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, 19 singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. 20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Wow, I wish I had read this passage yesterday! I was in a real funk most of the day with a myriad of issues barking at me all day it seemed. It all started with a backed up sump pump, but then ended on a real positive note. One of my good friends stopped by out of the blue,(funny how that happens) wanted to show me the new four by truck with sirens and flashing lights, raised 6 feet etc. So we drove it up to Walmart- Since the snow essentially shut down the city, I think we were about the only ones in the store. We were able to fellowship, make the most of every opportunity, and give thanks to God for all the trials we endure, knowing perseverance is being perfected in each of us.
